April 13, 2024 - Siblings with a Mission and Ohio SIBS hosted a Siblings Conference and Retreat for siblings and sibling supporters! The conference was hybrid, with both in-person and online presentations, a sibling panel, and breakout sessions. More information can be found here.
November 12, 2023 - Yasmeen Faruqui, a member of our Leadership Team, hosted a table about Siblings with a Mission at the National Down Syndrome Society Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio. At the conference, Yasmeen was able to connect and share resources with many siblings and families!
October 21, 2023 - Our President, Nathan Grant, delivered the keynote presentation at Rare New England's Annual Conference. Nathan's presentation, titled "You Are Not Alone," highlighted ways to support families living with rare diseases.
August 5, 2023 - 7th Annual Sibling Symposium. We are excited to host our 7th Annual Sibling Symposium on Saturday, August 5th in Cincinnati, OH in partnership with Cincinnati Children's Hospital! May 30, 2023 - Sibposium Webinar: Sibs in the Waiting Room. We are excited to host a webinar in partnership with The Sibling Leadership Network on Zoom on May 30 at 8 pm ET/7 pm CT/5 pm PT on the topic, "Sibs in the Waiting Room." We will hear from a panel of speakers who work in the healthcare field about strategies to support siblings in medical settings. Please join us for this important webinar. November 20, 2021 - Siblings with a Mission and Cincinnati Children's Hospital hosted our 2021 Virtual Fall Sibling Event on Saturday, November 20 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on Zoom. The theme of the event was: Self Care is Sibling Care. The event was divided into four 30-minute sessions to cover a variety of topics ranging from dealing with hospitalizations, practicing mindfulness, and planning for the future.

March 19-21, 2021 - Siblings with a Mission hosts a virtual booth at the Hunter Syndrome Community Conference organized by Project Alive. Please check out our booth and make sure to attend the sibling sessions!
October 24, 2020 - Based on the feedback we received during our 4th Annual Sibling Symposium, we hosted a live virtual forum to discuss experiences of caregiving for our siblings and planning for the future. Check out a recording of the discussion and the resources shared during the event here. This event was co-hosted with the Sibling Leadership Network and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
July 25, 2020 - We organized our 4th Annual Sibling Symposium for siblings of people with complex health conditions and sibling supporters. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, this year's symposium was held online on Zoom. This event focused on the importance of taking care of ourselves and staying connected through fun and engaging activities and discussions.
May 2020 - Nathan Grant (President) and Manav Midha (Operations Executive) publish article about Siblings with a Mission, and Josh Glauser (Vice President) publishes personal story in the online and print journal Impact! Impact is a journal that features research, resources, and stories to promote greater inclusion, self-determination, and empowerment of people with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities and their families. July 27, 2019 - Siblings with a Mission and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Family Relations hosted our 3rd Sibling Symposium on Saturday, July 27, 2019! Our Symposium was held at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, OH and over 100 people registered and attended the event! This year's theme was "Making Meaningful Connections." It was a wonderful day connecting with others and fostering lifelong relationships with siblings and families in our community. July 21, 2018 - The 2nd Sibling Symposium at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH. At the Symposium, siblings and families were able to meet each other and exchange stories through sibling workshops, a resource fair, a sibling panel, and a presentation on the sibling experience. The stories shared at the event highlighted what it is like to have a brother or sister with special needs and were compiled in a book given to attendees to take home. July 15, 2017 - Siblings with a Mission hosts our first ever Sibling Symposium at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH. Over 120 people from all over Ohio and Kentucky registered and attended! There were speeches on various topics related to sibling support, a panel presentation on the sibling experience throughout the life course, sibling workshops for siblings ages 7-16, and a resource fair where siblings and families could connect with support groups and organizations (such as the Sibling Leadership Network, Ohio SIBS, A Kid Again, Hamilton County DD, Clermont County DD, and much more!) that serve families around the country.
