Welcome to Siblings with a Mission!
Siblings with a Mission is an international organization that serves siblings of all ages and backgrounds. If you are a sibling, parent, grandparent, sibling supporter, or if you want to learn more about special needs disabilities, read our messages. We have something for everyone!

Message for the Community
As part of our mission, we help siblings spread awareness of special needs and teach communities that people with disabilities can have fun and enjoy life, too. If you want to learn about special needs, read our Message to the Community and keep the following tips in mind whenever you encounter someone "different."
Helpful Tips to Remember:
1) It's okay to be curious, just don't stare
2) Ask questions. Instead of making comments or staring blankly, ask someone about his or her disability. This shows that you are genuinely interest in understanding someone's disability. But remember, some people may be shy or may not want to talk about their disability.
3) It's always best to smile and move on
4) Help if needed - but ask first
5) Understand that people communicate in different ways. You may see people with hearing aids or computerized talking devices (such as a message board or iPad).
6) Understand that people are not glued to their wheelchairs and some people can walk. It just may be easier to use a wheelchair out in public.
7) People with disabilities can have fun and laugh, too!
