The Inspire Project:

Do you have a sibling, friend, or family member with a disability? Do you want to help the special needs community? If so, this is for you! As a sibling or family member, you have been given a unique opportunity to understand what it's like to live with a disability. Embrace that. Accept that. Strive to see ability in disability, and use your unique experiences to spread awareness and support others.

The Inspire Project is one of several support services offered by Siblings with a Mission. Created to inspire others, the Inspire Project will feature inspirational stories of individuals who volunteer their time to serve the special needs community. By showcasing these individual's stories, the Inspire Project will demonstrate how siblings and families can use their unique experiences to help others.
Goals of the Inspire Project:

 1) Show siblings and families how to embrace and make the best of their situation
 2) Feature inspirational stories of individuals (i.e. siblings, students, doctors, researchers, authors, writers,    musicians, athletes, advocates, etc.) who volunteer their time to serve the special needs community
 3) Inspire siblings to see ability in disability, and view their experiences as a unique opportunity to spread awareness and support others
You can make a difference in this world, no matter your age and background. Go out and serve others. Be inspired to make a difference! Read our stories here for inspiration. And if you have a story, please contact us. Let's serve the special needs community together!

The Inspire Project: Stories That Will Inspire You
"Sight for Life: Be Inspired to Serve Others,"
  by Sachi Bhati
Sachi and her siblings created a nonprofit organization to raise money and help kids get access to dental, vision, and primary medical care. As Sachi says, "Growing up, we always heard stories about how generations of our family helped people. My grandfather never let us forget that no matter how young you are, you are always able to make a difference." Read Sachi's inspirational story, and learn one way you can serve the special needs community here.

"What in the World is Research?"
by Manav Midha
Research is one of the best ways to help families in the special needs community. However, what really is research? And how do you get involved, and when is the right time to get involved? As Manav explains in his article, "All of the research we do is for one main reason, and one reason only - for the people. For patients, for their families, for their friends, for humanity; doing research is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have." You are NEVER too young to get involved in research. As Manav states, "Do not let your age hold you back, chase your dreams! Make a difference in the world! Because you can, and you are the future!" Read Manav's story here to learn how you can get involved in research, and contact us if you have questions. We hope this story inspires you!
