"Brotherly Bond"

Hi, I am William and I am 11 years old. My older brother, Matthew is 13 years old. He is visually impaired. Together at home we play multiple things like soccer, sock baseball, balloon volleyball, wiffle ball, and basketball. When we play wiffle ball at the park, I have to go easy on him by throwing the ball underhand for him to see the ball.
Matthew and I are different, I play baseball and Matthew sings. Matthew goes to my games, and I go to Matthew’s recitals and performances. Sometimes Matthew and I don’t get along as well and we stop speaking to each other for at most a day. There are two things that can cheer us up, wiffle ball and indoor soccer. When we’re bored we bring out the board games and have fun together. Some of the board games we play are Sorry, Trouble, GraviTrax, and the Nintendo switch.
I treat Matthew like a “normal” brother because I want him to feel normal. I try my best to help him when he needs help. I go with him to the store and help him find the items he wants and read the prices. Mostly, I pay for the items when we are alone, but if not he goes and pays with no help. My family wants Matthew to be as independent as possible.
Most of the time, Matthew and I like spending time on our tablet and phone. Our parents don’t like it when we spend too much time on our devices. I spent so much time with Matthew that he has told me a lot of his secrets. Matthew and I have a strong bond and we just make each other laugh.
In conclusion, I know that Matthew has a disability and sometimes he is a pain but at the end of the day I love Matthew and hope he stays the same when he gets older.
